According to this report, global economic growth for 2025 is expected to slow to 2.3%, due to deepening international uncertainty, weakening demand and geopolitical factors. In line with this trend, Kosovo's economic growth, forecasted at 4.4% for 2017, is expected to drop to 3.8% for 2025, 2026 and 2027 a clear signal of weakening developmental momentum. ”/Periscope/

The Kosovo Business Connection (LBK), as representative of business interests and local producers, has constantly raised concerns about the progressive deterioration of the economic climate in the country. These concerns are confirmed today by the World Bank's latest report “Global Economic Perspections” (June 2025), which reviews the reduction of economic growth projections in Kosovo, signalling a more fragile perspective and new challenges to macroeconomic sustainability.
According to this report, global economic growth for 2025 is expected to slow to 2.3%, due to deepening international uncertainty, weakening demand and geopolitical factors. In line with this trend, Kosovo's economic growth, forecasted at 4.4% for 2017, is expected to drop to 3.8% for 2025, 2026 and 2027 a clear signal of weakening developmental momentum.
