Ejup Mehmeti later known as “Captain” activated in the 1970s as football player for FC Pristina, which was then competing in the Second League of the former Yugoslavia (East East Group).
At this time, he would play alongside large names such as Rasim Thaci cima and Sabit Dalku.
His work contributed to the promotion of the club in the Yugoslav football elite.
After his career as a player, Kapiti Mehmeti followed the academic route, finishing a football magistrate at Sarajevo University and taking a professional license as a coach from the U. EFA.
He has been part of the technical staff as an assistant in German Bundesligla teams, including Hamburg, receiving valuable experience at high football levels.
In 2012, Kapiti Mehmeti was appointed FC Pristina coach.
His work included developing new talent and building the team, continuing its tradition in Kosovo football.
In June 2021, the Pristina municipality, through the Sports Directorate, honoured Capiti Mehmet with gratitude for the Lifelonging, praising his rolebiography in sports and contribution to Pristina and all of Kosovo.
His burial takes place Friday at the city's cemetery in Pristina.
