Basel won the Swiss Cup after six years of waiting. Switzerland's new champion, Basel, on Sunday afternoon won 14th in history of the trophy club in the Cup.
In the finals of the Cup, Basel defeated the team of the third Swiss category, Biel, with a depth of 4:1. He had recently won it in the 2018/2019 edition.
The finals took place in “Stadion Wangdorf” in Bern. It was the jubilee final, 100th of the Swiss Cup in football.
Captain Gerdan Shaqiri scored one of four goals for Basel. He scored the goal of superiority 2:1 from the penalty.
He was accurate from the 11th meter point to 67th minute. Anthony de Freita in the 35th minute marked the autogool for the first supremacy of Basel. Biel then equalled the figures to 1:1. Brian Beyer scored the ticket of the penalty draw in the 60th minute, while the second advantage was secured by the penalty marked by Shaqiri.
Marin Schotice scored for 3:1 in the 78th minute, and two minutes later Moussa Cisse scored for 4:1.
The attacker Albian Ajeti and midfielder Leon Avdullahu also played for Basel.
