Eighteen-year-old Argentina footballer Camilo Nuin has passed away during a knee operation, local media reported.
The operation was supposed to repair the injuries of menisk and cross-perterial leagues in order to stabilise the situation, but death occurred during the procedure.
The club and local authorities have not yet discovered the exact cause of death, and the Argentinan media report that an investigation is under way.
His club, Atletico San Telmo, published a farewell message: “with deep sorrow we bid farewell to Camilo Nuinos, our player who passed away this morning”
