Taulant Jaka, he held his last professional match yesterday.
He ended a spectacular career with Albania's FC Basel and National.
Jaka, in an interview for the popular Swiss newspaper, confessed the great emotions she experienced the day she said goodbye to football.
The 34-year-old said he had to hold back because he didn't want to cry in front of his father, Ragip.
I had to hold on because I didn't want to cry in front of my father. But I already had tears in my eyes. Fan choreography was extraordinary”, he said.
In the closing match, FC Basel triumphed with a score of 4:0 against Luzer.
Before the start of the match, the club organised a special ceremony to honour Jaka's contribution, which for more than a decade was a key figure in the team's midfield.
During his career with FC Basel, Taulant Jaka held 406 official matches, winning six times the title of Swiss champion and three times the Swiss Cup.
He also represented the Albanian National in 31 matches, scoring a goal, and was part of the team that participated in the 2016 European Championship./Periscopi/
