If the crisis continues, not only the work of the Parliament and the formation of the Government is at risk, but also political stability in the country. The consequences may include: new early elections, a crisis of credibility in institutions and damage to Kosovo's” international image, it has written, among other things.
Full response:
The blocking of the election of Kosovo Assembly head presents an unusual institutional and political situation. After more than 21 unsuccessful attempts, the Assembly continues to be dysfunctional, which paralyses parliamentary life and prevents the formation of the new government.
This situation is reflecting the lack of political consensus and readiness for compromise, directly undermining institutional stability and citizens' trust in the democratic process.
It is urgent that the position and opposition show political maturity and flexibility, engaging in serious dialogue to reach an agreement. Interparty co-operation is the key to unlocking the situation and restoring normal functioning of institutions.
If the crisis continues, not only the work of the Parliament and the formation of government is at risk but also political stability in the country. The consequences could include: early new elections, a crisis of credibility in institutions and damage to Kosovo's international image.
Our society needs functional institutions and common political commitment that respond to citizens' expectations for development, stability and democratic progress. Only through public peace, cooperation, and understanding can we build a secure and stable future for our country. /Periscope/
