“First, we want to highlight the case of Sergeant Africa Bunnjak, killed on September 24th, 2023 during a terrorist attack in the country's north. The recent statement in the country's public media by journalist Branislav Krstik, who denies the hero's fall, is unacceptable and poses grave insult to his memory and the sacrifice of the hero, Sergeant Afrem Bounjaku”, reportedly in the reaction of the Kosovo Police Union.
The union requires that, if any official appears in the media unjustly and is later declared innocent, he become a public and correct degenerate, with the same intensity the original news has been given.
The Kosovo Police Union says it remains committed to protecting every member's integrity and dignity, saying it remains open for co-operation with all media that operate with professionalism and objective.
