He made these comments during an interview at TF1, a French television network, on the evening of May 13th, reports Telegraph, broadcast Periscope.
Macron stated that the goal of France and European countries in general is a ceasefire “on land, in the air and at sea to discuss territorial issues and security guarantees”.
He added that the “goal is to impose new sanctions against Russia in the coming days”, if it does not agree to a ceasefire.
The French president also noted that European countries are co-ordinating their sanctions measures. /Periscope/
