KFOR Commander Enrico Bardonini has hosted a meeting of ambassadors of all contributing troop nations at KFOR headquarters in Camp Film City, Pristina.
KFOR said the discussion at this meeting covered “a wide range of themes, including security trends across the region, the situation in Kosovo following parliamentary elections in February, the latest meeting of KFOR commander with EU Special Representative Peter Sorensen, and KFOR's activities and co-operation with the international community.
The “All participants reiterated the key role played by KFOR in supporting regional stability and the importance of unity of efforts towards sustainable security for the benefit of all communities”, KFOR said in the statement.
KFOR reiterated that it continues to contribute to a safe environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo, in line with its UN mandate based on UN Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council in 1999; at any time and impartially; and in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission for Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security reactors.
