Alliance for the Future of Kosovo leader Ramush Haradinaj has stressed that one of the options to unblock the political situation is the president's intervention.
“Another option is the key to the presidential institution, in this case the president. I believe that the president in his mandate can either take counseling initiative with political parties himself, knowing that the move ahead of the institution's constitutionalisation has stalled. Or he may be addressed to the Court, but he needs a preliminary decision”, he declared at Dabbat Plus.
As for the idea of secret voting in the Assembly, he has stressed that this would not solve the current crisis.
I'm not against the secret vote, because it doesn't change for the opposition anything. For what the right to vote is yes, no, abstention does not change. There is also no voter turnout. But even if the secret voting procedure were passed, it would not solve the blockade issue in the Parliament. We're the block, we don't have to hide it. So even if the VV could reach the establishment of the commission agreeing to the secret vote would still not change epilog”, he stated.
He has added that even if the Vetevendosje Movement reaches agreement on a secret vote, it does not expect opposition deputies to change their stance.
“There are opposition deputies who are not satisfied with the situation, but none of them will act against their party”, the AAK leader has added.
Haradinaj has singled out the secret vote as an additional obstacle that will not help the process of constitutionalising institutions./Periscopi/
