AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj has said that May 29th of 1998 marks one of the crucial moments of the Kosovo Liberation Army's war in Dukagjin and nationwide, the start of frontal war in Pec.
In a Facebook post, he has stated that on that day the Serbian forces' attempt to infiltrate the Baran Lug area was broken by the resistance of KLA's braves.
“In Vranoc and Krishec, village boys took up arms and lined up the country's defence. At the front lines of the front line were the valiant men of Dukagjini, Decani, and all the Lugu of Baran, determined to stop the Serbian army. Warriors from many villages on that side also came to the aid.
