May 30th, “State Day”, marks the creation of the first modern Croatian multiparty Parliament in 1990.
During the ceremony, General Bardoni expressed his admiration for Croatians' long-standing commitment to freedom, witnessed by their history and his gratitude for the Croatian contingent for their contribution to KFOR and their commitment to Kosovo's stability.
This day belongs to you”, KFOR commander said.
Ambassador Barisic, recalling the ongoing struggle for freedom made by her nation over the years, thanked Croatian soldiers for continuing the same commitment to KFOR.
KFOR reiterated that it continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to contribute to a secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially.
KFOR works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission to Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security reactors.
