Total NFF communication, no interference:
The Kosovo Football Federation was part of UEFA's 49th Congress, held in Belgrade, where our delegation, led by President Agim Ademi and was.d. Secretary General Markus Weidner represented Kosovo with dignity and full compliance with our status as an equal member in UEFA and FIFA.
In this important European football event, like any other member federation, Kosovo was introduced with its state symbols, while once again confirming its commitment to football development and strengthening co-operation with international institutions.
Unfounded statements by Serbia's Football Federation, which intended to present our participation as something out of the interest of football, have no basis and only attest to Serbia's continuing tendency to mix politics into sports.
The FFK has always represented the interests of Kosovo football and will continue to work for the development and advancement of the football game, maintaining excellent relations with international institutions.
We understand that the presence of the Kosovo delegation in the Serbian capital, as well as the fact that our state flag flew alongside those of other states, continues to be unacceptable to politics and a part of the opinion in Serbia. However, the state of Kosovo is an irreversible reality and the sooner they accept it, the sooner they will contribute to normalising sports and state relations.
As far as claims are made on the removal of the Kosovo state flag during the works of Congress, we stress that Kosovo was officially represented with its state symbols, just like any other UEFA member. Any possible action at the conclusion of the meeting, when the president of the FF was no longer in the hall, does not change the fact that Kosovo was and remains an equal part of this organisation, as it is in the European and world football family.
Of course, as always, certain persons follow the agenda against Kosovo and leave the table, even burn the flag of our state (as happened last night in Belgrade by fans of Serbian clubs), but Kosovo as a state is and remains an irreversible reality. The NFFK will immediately present protest marks at UEFA and other international institutions regarding these actions, which oppose values promoting the U. EFA.
However, once again we re-focus that Kosovo was introduced as equal to all its symbols and that everything has gone according to U protocol. EFA to the final piece of work.
NGK Thanks U EFA for good treatment and continued support for football development in Kosovo. As always, we will continue to work to strengthen our football and represent Kosovo with dignity in the international arena.
