La League has taken an additional seat for next season in the Champions League, and a surprising club by the Spanish football elite can make the shocking return to this prestigious race after a long absence.
The first four teams in La League qualify directly for the Champions League, but thanks to the European Performance System (EPS), Real Betis has a real chance of returning to the Champions League for the first time since the 2005/2006 season, reports Telegraph, broadcast Periscope.
Bettis is currently in sixth position in La League, with three points behind the 5th country's Willarreal, who have a less-played match.
The Andaluz-based club can qualify for the Champions League in case they manage to secure fifth position at the end of the season.
Besides Spain, the Premier League has also been rewarded with an additional spot in the Champions League.
