In response Thursday, the Federation of Serbia has accused Ademi of trying to exploit the event for non-flammatory interests. On the other hand, they suggest they have removed all the symbols representing Kosovo.
The 49th Congress is being held in Belgrade today UEFA, one of the biggest events in our country. Congress organizer is U EFA, while Serbia's Football Federation is hosting the most important football figures in Europe and the world. One shadow was thrown over the extraordinary organization, which a congressional participant tried to exploit for non - football interests. We reacted together, quickly and decisively, and with full responsibility, we inform the opinion that at Congress of U. EFA today in Belgrade, there are no symbols and no flags representing so-called Kosovo”, said their response.
Serbia's Federation apologised to citizens “who were hurt by the organiser's release, which was immediately corrected”.
“We apologize to each one of our citizens and every member of our nation, especially our people in Kosovo and Metohija, who were disturbed and hurt by the organiser's release, which was immediately corrected with our response”, follows their response.
Paradox is actually that in the opening speech, president of UEFA, Aleksandar Ceferin, spoke of how European football is uniting peoples and breaking real borders, citing European U21, which will be organised by Albania and Serbia.
COHA has contacted U EFA to take position on this matter. Also, questions have been sent to the NFF's address. /Periscopi/
