Santo striker Neymar has said his speech on a controversial change of rules in Brazilian football.
A major change is expected to take effect in Brazilian football after what Memphis Depay did during the match between Corinthians and Palmeiras.
Depay (31) moved to Brazil in September and has become one of the most controversial players in the country before Neymar returned.
However, he called attention on March 27th, when a move caused a clash in the Korinthian match Palmyras.
With Corinthias at the advantage of 1-0, Depay decided to take the ball towards the angle flag in the last few minutes something that happens often in football.
But what he did made his adversaries angry: Depay stood on top of the ball, a move that was seen as provocation by Palmira players, triggering a clash.
Now, according to the World Soccer Talk, the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) has confirmed a change of rules. In an official memo, the CBF has informed clubs and federations that players standing or breaking the ball during matches in Campeonato Brasileiro will be punished with yellow card.

In an interview after winning 3-0 against Vasco da Gama on Saturday, Depay commented on the new rule:
“Don't know what he did DAR today. In the first part, they could have revised the intervention on my wrist. It was a red card foul. But instead, they prefer to make rules like this not to stay on top. What are we talking about? Football, right? If this continues, those who run football in Brazil will end up doing the wrong thing”.
Afterward, Neymar, also known for his spectacular record and play, reacted to changing rules:
“Futball is getting more boring, many complaints,” wrote Santo's star in an Instagram comment.
It should be noted, however, that changing the rules does not directly relate to the Depay incident, since staying on top is a tactic used worldwide for football.
