On the World Stock Exchange of Derives, 1 litre of oil is being traded by 0.39 euros, respectively. 0.35 euros. Kosovo's derivative importers, this figure of 0.35 euros, should add 0.05 cents per litre to the excise, the Tax on Added Value (TVSH), which is 18 percent, and the cost of transportation.
Based on this estimate, and given the decision of Ministry of Industry, Enterprise and Trade (MINT) for the ceiling price, oil on Kosovo's market would have to cost a little more than 1 euro, eventually about 1 euro and 5 cents, reports Periscope.
However, today (10 April), derivatives in Kosovo are being sold at higher prices: oil from 1 euro and 18 cents per litre to 1 euro and 28 cents, while gasoline from 1 euro and 19 cents to 1 euro and 29 cents per litre.
These awards have been presented by the chairman of the Association of Oilmen, Fadil Behrani, who in a proposal for Periscope has declared that prices in Kosovo are among the lowest in the region.
We haven't had these cheaper prices in three years, of pandemic” respectively, Behrani said of Periscope.
He hopes that as a result of tariffs imposed by the American president, the price of oil in Kosovo could be reduced by up to 1 euro per litre, stressing that this impact has already begun to reflect on Kosovo.
“With tariffs Trumpit And the fall of the derivatives on the stock exchange, it is likely in Kosovo that 1 liter of diesel will cost 1 euro”, he has declared.
Berjan has also mentioned the price of derivatives in Albania.
In Albania, the price of derivatives is 1.89 euros and 1.88 euros per litre of”, he noted.
However, according to him, in Serbia, Sunday 1.78. cents and 779 euros per litre.
According to official data in northern Macedonia, today a litre of oil in retail costs 1 euro and 8 cents, while gasoline costs 1 euro and 24 cents.
Berjan has added that the Ministry of Commerce's decision on price margins has been taken at an inappropriate time, however, as he stressed, will be respected.
We've always respected decisions. The margin decision has been made at the wrong time, as we have global oil derivative prices. This decision hurts businesses. Large companies can afford it, but small and medium companies risk defaulting”, Behrani said.
He asked the ministry to make decisions on lowering the citizen basket price.
“MINT has to make decisions on citizen basket that oil has always been cheaper in the region. A basket of the most expensive citizen in Kosovo than in Germany. But no measures have been taken so far. Yes, oil has fallen because no civil basket decisions are made, said Berryan. /Periscope/
