“would be a failure for us if within this mandate of the current European Commission we failed to bring any new state into the EU. I'm sure we can membership Montenegro, the state with which we have opened all the chapters and started closing them, the process that could be closed by the end of 2026. From a technical point of view, we can close negotiations with Albania at the end of 2027. It further remains to member states whether these two states will be members of our European family”, Marta Kos said.
)You mentioned Montenegro and Albania, will they be the 28th and 29th EU state respectively before you leave the office in 2029?
