Festival promoting veterans' response promises changes

A day ago, war veterans went against a concert in which they were proud to sing even singers from Serbia. The veterans demanded that this concert not be held in planned shape and date. May 5th is the day of the Nation's Witnesses. On the same day, the festival's organisation took place in the agenda at the Community Municipal Security Council meeting, which for the festival, said that in such an organised way “the threat to the creation of” tensions.
In a statement Saturday, organisers have pledged a change of programme. Organisers have even said that there is no need for public and political debates because, as they say, a clear message would suffice and the program change. Organisers have said the requirement for organisation has been submitted on March 6th.
“Arog Fest is not just a festival ʹ is a celebration of our unity, tradition and joy. Respecting all our citizens, as soon as we were informed of the importance of May 5th, we immediately expressed readiness to change the programme and to show maximum respect to all veterans and citizens. Therefore, there will be changes in the music programme ʹ some singers will not perform and the programme will be adjusted to the” circumstances, says the festival's announcement.
Music for us is not freedom, joy, and unity! We also express deep respect for all martyrs who have fallen for the Republic of Kosovo, whose sacrifice will never be forgotten. Our goal is simple and clear: One day of music, friendship and unity, for all! Arogue Fest is our gift to our people a sign of love, respect, and hope for the future”.
Organisers have reiterated that the idea for organising the festival was born with the intention of uniting Gora, Zhupa and Podgora through music.
