Because of the tragic shooting incident in the nightclub that claimed the lives of 59 people yesterday in Kocan, North Macedonia authorities have sought to postpone the Western Balkan Leaderial Meeting, to be held in Skopje this week”, the report said.

The meeting was scheduled to take place on 19 March and 20 March in Skopje.

What happened in northern Macedonia?

The fire at Kocan's discotheque took the lives of 59 young people as it left more than 150 injured. For the number of victims, it ranks as the third tragedy in Northern Macedonia's newest history.

Fire at the discotheque “Pulse” in Kocan has fallen in the early morning hours of March 16th.

The Public Prosecutor has formed teams of prosecutors who are conducting investigations in the case. According to this institution, investigative procedures for 11 are under way.

The government has also brought a decision that the State Market Inspectorate in the next three days will conduct extraordinary inspections at hotel facilities.
