After NATO Secretary Mark Rutte's visit to Kosovo will for the first time launch the new European Union's minister for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Peter Sorensen. His visit comes after the last separate meetings in Brussels of Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq with EU diplomacy chief Kaya Kallas, It says Periscope.
Secretary - General NATO on Tuesday during his visit to Kosovo delivered some messages for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
Rutte said they would continue to support the process of normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
At a news conference in Pristina with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Rutte said his presence is a clear demonstration of commitment to long-term security in Kosovo.
To push this dialogue forward, both sides must make compromises. This requires difficult decisions, normalisation brings greater stability and lasting security to the entire region. This is the message that I will continue to stress in front of all parties in the region”, Rutte said.
On the other hand, EU foreign policy and security chief Kaya Kallas said weeks ago in Brussels she would consider the opportunity, along with new envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Peter Sorensen, to make dialogue between the two countries functional
