By The Independent, Premier League clubs are expected to approve a transitional deadline in early June, following FIFA's decision to introduce a special temporary period for summer agreements.
The elite league teams will meet in London to vote on the proposal, which will open the transitional deadline from June 1st to June 10th. To pass, the motion requires a super majority of at least 14 clubs in favour.
However, the early transitional deadline will be available for all Premier League clubs, not only for Manchester City and Chelsea, who will compete in the tournament.
If the proposal is approved, it could affect the passing term of summer transfers, as FIFA regulations limit the passing term of the season closed to a maximum of 12 weeks. That means adjustments may be needed for the usual closing date in August.
As such, this year's transitional deadline is expected to close on August 14th, two days before the start of the 2025/26 season, not at the end of the month. /Periscope/
