Sources from the Papaniccolau hospital, where three injured hospitals have been hospitalised since yesterday afternoon, who by ambulance arrived in Thessaloniki, inform that everyone is in the Intensive Care Department to hurt with burns, two have been operated, and the third is not yet.
As MIA reported yesterday, it is about two girls and a boy, aged 25, 26, and 19 years, who have been seriously injured with severe burns.
Also, according to MIA's information, two injured people have been transferred to the military hospital in Thessaloniki to whom the tracheotomy has been taken.
According to similar sources, the “Papanicoau” has so far not been informed or reported for transport of other cases.
Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis announced last night through the platform “X” that the <x2th> National Fast Aid Centre is in full operational readiness for transport and treatment of victims burned at the request of North Macedonia”, and suggested that four hospitals in Athens and Thessaloniki are on added readiness.
Georgiadis explained that after our country's request to the European Civil Protection Mechanism, “are developing all necessary activities, and the co-ordination between the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Health Ministry, the Ministry of Climate and Civil Protection, and the Co-operation Centre for Fast Assistance with the aim of transportation, accession and treatment of burns at appropriate health centres in the country<1.
According to Greece's Health Minister, under the operational plan in the state of increased readiness are three hospitals in Athens and one in Thessaloniki, which is at the same time one of the largest Greek hospitals.
“The General Co-ordination Centre of the Fast Aid Service has already put in place the necessary number of ambulances, which will be used in the event additional burns victims are made, should be transported to national health centres or to the National Defence Ministry in Athens”, Georgiadis wrote at “8x3>.
As announced MIA yesterday, sources from the Greek government announced that 18 injured by fire at the Kocan discotheque will be admitted to the “Papanicolaou” hospital in Thessaloniki and military hospitals in Athens and Thessaloniki, and that after a telephone conversation between the two countries' foreign affairs ministers, Giorgos Gerapetritis and Timco Munski, “co-ordinated activities of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Civil Protection and the Emergency Assistance Service, Greece will accept all injured, as requested by the European Civil Protection Mechanism.
