Ekrem Imamoglu arrest, Turkish protests spread, and on Berlin streets

Many wore masks from Imamoglu or wore banners with slogans such as “We are all Imamoglu” and denounced Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Periscope.
“With the Erdogan government, Turkey is heading in the wrong direction”A Turkish merchant said.
Hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets in Turkey since Imamoglu was arrested on March 19th on corruption charges his supporters say are false.
Massive protests have triggered a government-repressive response that has been strongly condemned by human rights groups and drew criticism from abroad.
