Duke talks about European with Serbia: More Than Football Tours

Albanian Football Federation President (FSHF), Armand Duka, has once again spoken of the 2027 European U21, which Albania organises with Serbia. In the long interview for UEFA has spoken of the benefits Albania will have with European organisation.

The start of the application has been individual, but with a kind of pragmatism on the way, we decided to join the candidacy with the Federation of Serbia to get more chance to win the organisation of this tournament. Albania has never previously organised a sport tournament of such high levels. We will host the U17 European Championship finals in May this year, which is also an important competition, but hosting the U21 European Championship finals is a much higher level. Albania's Benefcy is numerous, since our U-21 national participation for the first time in a European final and to proceed with improvements in infrastructure that this tournament will bring. There will be economic benefits, especially in terms of tourism”, Duka has said.

He has already stressed that with the common European with Serbia it will be more than football tournament.

At the end, but not in importance, I think the messages we give to the world with this organization are very big. The U-21 2027 European Championship will be more than a football tournament. It will serve as incentive to break barriers, strengthen mutual understanding and create a more positive future for Balkan peoples, and show what can be achieved when people unite around a common goal, inspired by football power”, Duka has stressed.

Dukea holds significant position in the European Football Confederacy. He's one of UEFA vice presidents. The Duke has also been running the Media Committee in UEFA for two years.

“It is my privilege to contribute to the Executive Committee of U EFA and then as chairman of the UEFA media committee”, Duka has said.

Executive Committee UEFA in February made an official decision to have the 2027 European Championship for footballers held up to 21 years in Albania and Serbia.

Reactions for Albania and Serbia's joint organisation were numerous. Various football connoisseurs, fan groups and fans have reacted. But there has not been, nor is there expected to be any response from the Kosovo Football Federation.
