Daku has tattooed his passage to Russia: No Danger Has a History

Not everyone appreciated the right step when Mirlind Daku joined the club from Russia, Rubin Kazan, in the summer of 2023.

But the 27-year-old assailant appreciates the right step for his career. He has even tattooed his career. He had moved to Rubin Kazani from Croatian Osijek. At Osijek he was not playing, while he was formerly borrowed from various teams, such as Kukes, the Balkans and Mura in Slovenia.

Daku has given a long interview with Ruby Kazan's official site and has talked about the unexpected transfer to the Russian football championship. He moved when the Russian invasion of Ukraine was continuing.

Be honest, Ruby's offer was a total surprise to me. At first I didn't know about the club's interest, because my agent didn't tell me anything about it. I've been thinking about other European clubs and I haven't looked into other options. The agent only told me about offers from Europe, but when Ruby's offer came in I thought maybe I should accept it. Maybe it'll be the right thing to do, help me make the big move on my career. Because of the situation in Russia at the time, my father was a little embarrassed. I've got another tattoo because of my passage to Russia, at Ruby”, says Daku.

In 53 presentations to Rubin Kazan, Daku has 19 goals and ten assisting goals.

He's been explaining the tattoo he did on the move to Russia.

There's no history. It means that if you want to do something, you have to risk it and that without danger, there will be no story. It's worth risking for an interesting story. The attacker has said that since his first day in Rubin Kazan has felt very good. It has helped him get a goal a few days after he started training with the Russian team.

Daku has said he fulfilled the dream when he was invited to Albania. He's been waiting for that long time.

If we qualify in the world, it'll be the best feeling in my soccer career. Not all players have the opportunity to play in the World Champions. If we do that, it'll be a memorable story for me”, says Daku.

He has also talked about reports with Russian players on the team.

We're still like family. For example, Russian players always invite foreign players. We go anywhere together. If they organize something, we go, though we don't understand everything. We all go together. It's a great honor to me.
