Parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo on February 9th. The count of regular votes for political subjects began immediately. After their completion, the CEC began counting votes for candidates for MPs, which had started a late day and ended on February 22nd.
After them began the count of diaspora votes, which in this election took place in two ways -- via mail and diplomatic representations.
In the hands of QNRI employees, turn came the bail vote and votes of disabled people.
All of this lasted 24 days. The whole counting process ended yesterday.
The CEC was criticised for entering the process unprepared after its site fell on election night as the results were emerging. Investigations are under way to see what were the causes of the site's failure on election night.
What are you waiting for?
After the count ends, the CEC must announce its final results.
At a media conference, CEC spokesman Valmir Elesi had said the final results would be announced on March 5th, while the certificate will take place on March 18th. The VV looks like a coalition issue won't move before that date.
) First we expect the certificate of results and then we'll sit down and look for the road before” said outgoing Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Elez has said that the final results will not be announced until at least after the 48-hour deadline for complaints at PZAP, which began Wednesday at 9:00, ending Friday at 9:00.
He has added that the CEC will recount the votes of a political subject in Vushtrri following Mitrovica's Constitutional Prosecution request. It's the LDK vote.
Elez had said that in other electoral processes the CEC has taken 8-9 days after announcing the final results to certificate them.
