The former FIFA president Sepp Bablet said he was innocent when he appeared in a Swiss court Monday along with the Frenchman, Michel Platini. Blutter and Platini were released in 2022 in a lower Swiss court after a seven-year investigation into a $2 million Swiss franc payment (2.22m) to Platini broadcasts Kosovars.
The Swiss federal prosecutor has appealed against this ruling, leading to a new session at the Swiss Criminal Court's Foreign Appeal Room in Muttenz, near Basel. The prosecutor demanded complete abolition of the court.
Blatter told the court Monday that he was not guilty of fraud.

The 2022 incident accused Butter and Platini of cheating FIFA staff in 2010 and 2011 over the obligation of the world's governing football body to pay the Frenchman, who was then president of the European sports body U. EFA.
