The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjilan has begun to take investigative action over allegations of physical rape and sexual abuse of a woman in Gjilan, who is allegedly mentally flawed.
According to the announcement the Prosecution has made today, Kosovo Police have been authorised to take investigative action after posting citizens on the social network, Facebook.
The case has been initiated as the “Trafficking with people”, by Article 165 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
“Foundation Procurory in Gjilan, reports that after posting from citizens on the social network “Facebook” of A.S. With bodily injuries, the Kosovo Police have authorised to take investigative action in connection with this criminal case. By order of the attorney, the case has been initiated as the “Trafficking in People”, by Article 165 of the Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo. The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjilan in co-operation with the Kosovo Police will take all necessary investigative actions, in order to identify/the perpetrators of this criminal act”, the prosecution's announcement in Gjilan said.
Kosovo's video war crimes cases collector Esat Shala has on Tuesday published photos of a woman who, according to him, is allegedly physically violated and sexually used.
According to Shala's post, Adija suffers from mental problems and is forced to ask for gifts from some people, where if she does not get enough shopping, they exercise physical and sexual violence on her.
