Three men, including Schumacher's former bodyguard Marcus Fritsche, were on trial for stealing hard disks containing images, videos and medical records for Schumacher. The trial was held in the German town of Wuppertal, where the three accused were accused of blackmail.
Prosecutors demanded a three-year sentence for Yilmaz Tozturkan, while the Schumacher family sought five years in prison for him. Fritsche was sentenced to two years suspended -- a sentence Corinna called insufficient. She considers Fritsche a brain behind this blackmail and demands a punishment that would prevent similar crimes in the future.
Moreover, Corinna has strongly defended the privacy of Michael Schumacher, who has not appeared in public since the tragic ski accident in 2013. Some attempts to sell information about his state of health have been blocked, and his photos after the accident have not been published.
