Due to the lack of indictees, Ylli Hoxha, Arber Sororay and Hasani Bridge, Monday's hearing at the Constitutional Court in Pristina has been postponed, in the case where the same is promised by Iberdemaj and Armen Loshaj, as activists of the Vetevendosje Movement are charged with actions in the 2015 protest.
In this case, Ylli Hoxha, promises Iberdemaj, Urim Hasani, Arber Sodoraj and Arment Loshaj are charged that in October 2015, during a protest, they had caused serious bodily injuries to two policemen and had damaged the properties of some institutions worth 20 thousand euros.
Regarding the absence of indictee Hoxha, his lawyer, Blerim Metica, said he could not get in touch with his defender. While in the absence of indictee Uran Hasani, his defender, lawyer Marem Halili, said the same one has announced that she is coming to the session.
Meanwhile, accused Arber Sorray and his defender Gazmend Lokaj have not cleared up their absence, even though they have been informed of today's session.
Judge Erol Gashi said that if in the 5-day term the three high-ranking indictees do not give up excuses for their failure to defend themselves, the court will assign detention measures to them.
Even the latest hearing in this case had failed to be held due to the absence of indictees.
According to the indictment compiled on December 24, 2015, Iberdemaj, Ylli Hoxha, Hasani Bridge, Arber Sodoraj and Armend Loshaj are charged that on October 12, 2015, they participated in the assembled crowd and had thrown rocks and hard spots towards police, who had been preventing the risk against citizens and maintaining public order and tranquillity.
The indictment says that the accused had lit garbage containers and moved them along the way, then the lit containers pushed them towards the police cords, threw cocktails at the Molotov, set fire to official vehicles, threw stones and found stones in the direction of the Central Police Station, broke windows, damaged window frames, damaged the inventory inside offices, and damaged the facade of this object.
According to the prosecution, the accused had burned an official vehicle and damaged 7 official vehicles, as well as caused serious bodily injuries to police officials, Kryeziu and Fahredin Veliu, and caused damage worth 20 thousand euros to institutions like: Police Station Centre, Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office, CEC, PDK Headquarters and KR” Cleaning” in Pristina.
With these actions, the prosecution charges the accused that they committed criminal work “The participation in the crowd committing criminal and hooliganism”, from Article 412, par.1 of the Penal Code, which is sentenced to imprisonment of six months to five years. /Betimy for Justice
