Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu left Tel Aviv for the United States on Sunday, where he will meet with President Donald Trump.
He said that with the American leader he will discuss victory over Hamas, curbing Iranian expansion and expanding diplomatic relations with Arab countries, Euronews reports.
The visit marks Trump's first meeting with a foreign leader since taking office.
I think this is a testimony to the strength of the Israeli-American alliance and a testimony to the force of our personal friendship”,- said Netanyahu.
Netanyah's visit to the United States comes despite facing an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court last November.
Court member states are required to prevent suspects from breaking into their country, but both America and Israel are not part of the court.
