The number of citizens rightly vote at the polls, according to Central Election Commission data, is 1 million and 970 thousand and 944 voters.
For the first time, over 125 thousand young people vote, KosovaPress reports.
Meanwhile, the number of citizens registered to vote abroad is 104 thousand and 924.
For the first time, the diaspora voted through diplomatic representation. Post voting is under way on January 9th.
In the race for the February 9th parliamentary elections are 28 political subjects, with a total of 1280 candidates for MPs. Four candidates compete for the prime minister.
Unlike previous elections, the electoral silence will last only during the 12 hours of voting -- 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
There are 941 polling stations, out of which 903 for regular voting with 2 thousand and 533 seats, and 38 polling stations (from one for each municipality) with 56 seats.
Under the new Law for General Elections, the election day at the polls will be counted the part of the ballot where citizens have voted for political subjects, while one day after that, the count of the rest of the voter turnout vote for MPs will begin.
