For 2024, the average monthly salary in Geneva, for a 40-hour work week, totals about 7,900 Swiss francs. This figure significantly exceeds the national average, which stands at 7,024 francs for full - time employment.
However, despite high pay rates, O CSTAT emphasises that there are highlighted differences between different sectors and employment categories in Geneva. According to estimates, 25 per cent of employees with higher revenues benefit about 10,720 francs per month, while 25 per cent of under-income employees earn less than 5,935 monthly francs.
These data reflect not only the high level of wages in one of Switzerland's most developed cantons, but also the existing inequalities in the labour market, influenced by the employment sector, professional qualifications and position of work. /Periscope
