A total of six Serie A clubs are at risk of having their Mercedes of transfers blocked in January, due to severe financial regulations, according to “Tuto MercatoWeb”.
Besides Lazios, the other five clubs facing this possible impasse are Naples, Atalanta, Fiorentina, Turin and Genoa.
The main issue relates to changes in the “indicator Expanded labour spending” (CLA) on Revenues (R). Following a recent decision by the Federal Council, the threshold of this report has dropped it aggressively to 70%.
Clubs failing to meet this new border will not be able to sign new players unless they generate immediate capital gains (pluvalenze) or provide new capital injections.
This harsh rule applies both to clubs that have historically managed carefully and to those already in trouble.
All clubs must deliver their financial mirrors showing the situation by September 30th, until November 30th, for the assessment, after which the crisis rate for these clubs will become clearer.
The report stresses that this measure coincides with U economic parameters The EFA, which will become mandatory in 2026, including the penalty of blocking the transfer market.
