During the conference with reporters, Zelensky was asked why he thinks Russian President Vladimir Putin is avoiding meeting with him. He answered openly:
It's not a secret. As Trump said, Putin hates me”, Zelensky said.
Asked further if he hated Putin himself, the Ukrainian president responded without hesitation:
“Poutin wants to kill all my people, so it's understandable that I feel the same way about him. ”
Zelensky stressed that this is not a personal matter, but a reality of the ongoing war.
It's not about feelings... The Russians attacked us and this is the enemy... of course we hate the enemy”, he added in Ukrainian.
Zelensky's statements reflect the severity of the current conflict and the hard line Kiev holds against Moscow, especially in the context of international aid and support from the United States.
