Former President of The PDK, Xhavit Haliti, has commented on the political situation following the Kosovo elections and the challenges of forming a new government.

On the “Trialog” show in RTSH, Haliti said we are facing a scenario similar to past elections, where the winning party, the Vetevendosje Movement, fails to form the government without entering the coalition.

He stressed that the country does not have the luxury to go to new elections, as the consequences will be great, especially for Vetevendosje, which, according to him, risks a deep decline in popular support.

“The same situation is repeating as in past elections, unless a coalition between Vetevendosje and opposition parties is reached, I am not looking at any good solutions on the horizon. You have to create government that works for Kosovo and has obligation to citizens. If it goes to new elections, Vetevendosje will have a major decline by voters and then we will see how the coalition will develop. Kosovo needs a major coalition to take the right responsibilities and do analysis not by commanding the cabinet or the chair of Prime Minister”, Haliti said./Periscopi/
