Trial in Lack of Six Serbs Charged for War Crimes

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has announced that on 22 December, in two different cases initial screening hearings will be held against six persons charged with war crimes against the civilian population, in cases that will be tried in the absence of defendants. Defendants Ljubomir Cimburovic, Predrag Bradic and Milivoje Ivik are accused by the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo of acts incriminating under Article 142 concerning Article 22 of the former Criminal Law - R The SFJ, currently treated under Article 144, 145, 146 and 147 regarding Article 31 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to the prosecution, the trial will be conducted in absentia, as defendants have been unable until the indictment is established.
The court calls on the defendants to surrender to justice authorities.
The first session will be held at the Hall of Justice in Heivali, D Terminal, Floor I, Hall No. 27, beginning at 09:30, and will be led by the Chairman of the Judicial Chamber, Leon Perlasca.
During the day, it has been announced by this court that on the same day the initial review hearing will be held against three other defendants charged with war crimes against the civilian population.
Indictees Dusan Gavraniq, Zoran Sharac and Zarko Cvetanovic are facing charges filed by the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo on December 30th 2024, for the criminal work of war crimes against the civilian population, based on Article 142 concerning Article 22 of the Kosovo Criminal Law. h - RSPJ. /Periscope/
