The Louvre Museum has been closed for the day after Napoleon's age jewelry was stolen from the iconic museum in Paris, which is home to some of the world's most escapeonic historical objects, including Mona Lisa.
Robbers entered and went into the museum for 7 minutes, using a plumbing ladder and stole the uncharted “biswetrare”, said France's Interior Minister Laurent Nunez, calling it a big “grubbing”.
Robbers entered through the building facade with view from the Senna River and used a plumbing platform to enter the room at the Apollo gallery, the French daily Le Parisien reported.
Louvre is home to more than 33,000 works, including antiquity, sculpture and painting, from Mesopotamia, Egypt and the classical world to European masters. /Periscopi/
