According to him, the Pristina Assembly will have this composition:
LDK... 15 seats.
PDK 12 seats
VV 1 0 seats
AAK 7 seats
Feim Cupina 4 seats
Initiatives, Guxo and PSD BUCH from 1 seats each
Salihu estimates that if Progress Rama (LDK) wins the race for chairman, coalition with AAK and three smaller parties ( The PSD, Guxo and Initiative) will not suffice to reach the simple majority of 26 votes. In this case, Rama will need the support of Feim Cupina or for an agreement with PDK or VV.
Meanwhile, if Hajrullah Ceku (VV) comes out victorious, even with Cup support, AAK, Initiative, PSD and Guxos will not achieve the majority, which means that for stable VV governance, PDK or LDK support would be needed. No municipality chairman can build a stable and effective government without having the majority in the Municipal Assembly”, Salihu stressed, adding that this majority is essential for the adoption of the budget, sectoral plans and capital projects.
His analysis underscores that the new composition of the Pristina Parliament makes the coalition and political co-operation crucial to the municipality's functioning in the upcoming mandate.
