In his speech during the EU-Western Balkans Investment Forum under way in Tirana, Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, declared that the region has the potential to transform into Europe's “laborator”, where the future of the continent can be tested and built.
This is not a coincidence but a new horizon. A country where European investments find new opportunities and where ideas can become reality faster than anywhere else on the continent,” said Rama.
He stressed that resistance and commitment to European values should not remain slogans but translate into daily action, writes A2 CNN, broadcast the Klankosova.tv.
According to him, the Western Balkans can serve as spaces where the European Union and its region “are met, not to talk about the future, but to make the future a reality”.
The prime minister underlined that Europe no longer has the luxury to depend on factors it does not control, while Balkan countries should not remain only with potential, but turn it into concrete goal.
“It is time to turn this region into the area of European transformation,” concluded Rama, inviting European investors and partners to see the Balkans as a new development and innovation ground.
