Prizren: This is the cop who was arrested by IPK for domestic violence.

Signal newspaper sources suggest the detainee is Kenan Idrizaj.

According to IPK announcement, “The IPK had accepted information yesterday in the afternoon concerning the suspicion that a police official in Prizren has committed criminal violence in the family. After obtaining information, IPK investigators have come to the scene and undertaken necessary investigative actions”.

The same report points out that, after initial investigative actions, the case has been consulted with the competent prosecutor and then, at the prosecutor's decision, the police official has been assigned the 48-hour detention measure.

The IPK also suggests that the official has been suspended from office at the recommendation of the IPK, as part of Kosovo Police administrative and investigative procedures.

The “IPK investigators in full co-ordination with the Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren will continue to take further investigative action towards full enlightenment of all circumstances related to this case”, the Police Inspectorate's announcement said at the end./Periscopi/
