The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has announced that out of the alleged 33.841 packages with ballots from abroad, part of them have been brought to Kosovo and, to date, from the portion of the ballot package that has been accepted, more than 18,000 have been subjected to the evaluation process, of which more than 15,600 have been approved, [...]
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi said that by 4: 00 p.m., the results have been verified for 1,133 seats from municipal mayoral elections and the results for political subjects from the Elections for Municipal Places from 1.084 seats.
“According to information from the Municipal Counting Centre, by 4: 00 p.m. this morning, Wednesday, the results have been verified for 1,133 seats from the Communist Speakers' elections and the results for political subjects from the Municipal Framework elections from 1.084 seats. Of as many options, 1,084, votes from the candidates' elections for the Communist Empire have been counted. So far, activities at the QKN have been closed in 9 municipalities: Elez's Hani, Unic, Mamusa, Zvecan, Northern Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Decani, Shpee, Kline. Several other municipalities are expected to be added until the end of today. The municipalities, in which the process has been completed, have handed over the election material to the Counting and Results Centre”, Elez said.
Elez has indicated that she has started scanning the voter list from regular polling from some of the municipalities that have already finished the QKN job and that they have handed over the election material to the Counting and Results Centre.
“Scanning the voter's list that has been used in the polling is necessary before starting with the counting of votes from conditional polling, because it helps the CEC make sure that no one has voted twice, at regular deployment and on bail. The number of ballot envelopes enabled in 54 polling sites in 38 municipalities is 2,119, meanwhile, in the voting programme through mobile teams, the number of registered voters with special needs was 3,467”, Elesi said.
While for activities from voting outside Kosovo and the beginning of verification of ballot balloting by mail, the CEC spokesman said on Tuesday the process of withdrawing the ballot packages belonging to the vote outside Kosovo through mail in local municipal mayoral elections and Municipal Assembly.
“The withdrawal of the ballot package is made from CEC mailboxes to 22 different states, as well as from the CEC mailbox in Kosovo. Out of 23 mailboxes, 33841 alleged ballot packages have been withdrawn, a portion of which have been brought to Kosovo. Currently, the CEC has started with assessing the ballot package from voting outside Kosovo, respectively, from voting via mail, which have been brought to Kosovo so far. By 4: 00 p.m. on Wednesday, from the part of the ballot package that has been accepted, the evaluation process has been subjected to more than 18,000, of which more than 15,600 have already been approved, some 2,400 have already been refused. The most expressed reason why these packages were rejected, in 2,358 packages, is because there is no registration report, a document, with unique data, that registered voters accept from the CEC”, Elez said.
The CEC has indicated that at the end of the rating process, it will publish the data for the number of packs with supposed ballotings, which will be counted at the Counting and Results Centre.
Otherwise, today the third day of the Municipal Counting Centre activities is under way, with the results of political parties in the October 12th elections, where most municipalities will go to the runoff on 9th. /kp
