Kosovo President Vjosa Osmai has given a speech after accepting the Award for Women, Peace and Security from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Ljubljana.

In this speech she has expressed thanks on behalf of the people of Kosovo, but as she has said, in particular on behalf of women and girls.

Osmani said that this award for it means much, until it indicated that the path of peace in Kosovo has been reached by men and women.

“Thank you on behalf of the people of Kosovo, and especially, on behalf of our extraordinary wives and girls”.

It's a great honor to address this assembly just a few months after I had this honor in Ohio. And this time a little closer to home, in beautiful Ljubljana. Thank you, Mr. President for your hospitality”

The “is above all a profound honour to receive this award, a price that I humbly accept in the name of the people of the Republic of Kosovo, and that means a lot of”.

Because the road to peace in Kosovo was reached by men and women as well. They faced peace and equality, when few in the world knew we existed. So this is what Osman said.
