Xhemajl Hasani has resigned from all positions and positions he holds in the party.
“I've given my maximum service to the Initiative and the citizens, but it seems that my work and commitment has not been properly assessed by voters.
In this way, I want to pave the way for reinforcement and revival of the Initiative's structures, releasing the position of branch chairman”, he wrote among other things.

I, Xhemajl Hasani, chairman of the Social Democrat Initiative branch in Podujevo, resign from all positions and functions I hold within the Social Democrat Initiative.
The main reason for my resignation is the election result, which did not reach our and my personal expectations.
I have given my maximum service to the Initiative and the citizens, but it seems that my work and commitment has not been properly valued by voters.
So I want to pave the way for the reinforcement and revival of the Initiative's structures, releasing the position of the branch chairman.
Thank you for all the structures of the Social Democrat Initiative for cooperation and support on this journey.
A special thanks goes also to the chairman of the Initiative, Mr. Fatmir Limaj, for his support and leadership.
