North Macedonia elections: Vote ends, counting begins

Voter rights had 1,832,415 registered citizens on the Electoral List. They could vote in 3,474 seats across the country for 309 candidates for mayors and 576 candidate lists for municipal councils -- or a total of 10,490 candidates -- are submitted. Periscope.
A total of 22 political parties, 19 coalitions and 119 voter groups -- independent candidacy -- participate in the elections. The largest number of candidates for mayors is in the City of Skopje -- a total of 16 candidates.
The elections are being monitored by 1,451 observers, of them 807 local and 644 international.
State Election Commission (KSHZ) announced that by 5 o'clock, turnout in local elections was 39.61%. According to the KSHZ, the voting process has been held without problems, without reports of possible irregularities or violations. / TS
