Accepting this award, the president said it is “a special honour and a price dedicated to the people of Kosovo, and in particular to all Kosovo women, those who courageously, dignity and love helped build peace and achieve our freedom”.

Our “Peace is built on their sacrifice and courage, while our democracy is strengthened thanks to the commitment of women who stood firm in every step of our journey towards freedom of equality”, Osmani stressed.

According to the media report, Osmani has stressed that the assessment by NATO's Parliamentary Assembly is also recognition of Kosovo's efforts in advancing the Agency for Women, Peace and Security, through the International Forum for Women, Peace and Security and the Regional Centre of Excellence, which the President of the Republic has already transformed into important platforms of regional and international co-operation.

This high international price, in addition to praising President Osmani's leadership, sets Kosovo among the world's model countries for women's involvement in peace building, strengthening democratic institutions and protecting human rights. President Osmani is the first Southeast European leader to be honoured at this price”, said the announcement further.May be an image of one or more people, the Oval Office, newsroom and text
