In the trial against former chief executive of the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), Nagip Krasniqi, witness Hasan Kerrolli, said Thursday, even after the announcement by the Energy Regulatory Office ( ZRERE, were instructed to continue with the energy trade with the company Holding Slovenenske Electrican (HSE), although it was not licensed in Kosovo or Albania. [...]
Even after ZRE's announcement, we have been instructed to continue trading as they did before, until further notice”, Krolli said.
Kroll, who is a senior expert in market analysis and energy trade at KEK, said the HSE company at the moment of signing the contract EFT, has been pre-qualified since 2021-BAR 22 was not requested license by ZRE, reports “Justice bet“, broadcast Periscope.
In this regard, Krolli said that with companies doing the energy trade -- they must have the headquarters in Kosovo, but in concrete cases, the HSE company by 2022 has not had any obstacles or stops, and that they have not seen fit to make two companies in parallel.
He stated that to enter a contract with KEK, certain conditions must be met, such as pre-qualification files involving ZRE license, or ZRE-recognised, business certificate, court evidence that they are not condemned for business-related criminal acts, as well as by the Commercial Court -- testimony not near bankruptcy, and others.
He said that at the end of 2021, KEK has begun buying energy and continued until January 10th 2022 and on January 21st and January 22, 2022, after which KESCO has made the import of energy with the Government of the Republic of Kosovo decision.
Keroll pointed out that by 2022 there was no announcement from the ZRE that trade was banned. So, according to him, energy trading was done with companies licensed by Kosovo, Albania and EU countries.
While, according to him, in 2022, the Office for tariffs and regulatory issues has accepted the announcement to cut off trade with all companies that are not registered in Kosovo or that do not have licenses or memorandums of co-operation with Albania.
During the retake of the prosecution's questioning of the witness, the accused Krasniqi addressed the court as having two questions for the witness.
However, the chairman of the court, Judge Arben Hoti, announced the accused, has passed his turn, and according to judicial procedure and legal provisions, the debt has no right to reroute the witness after the prosecution, as it is a witness to the latter.
The session continues at the afternoon session, with the retake of witness Kerroll, by the Prosecutor.
