Kosovo was officially represented and accepted during the 76th ICAR Congress, which was held in the United States of America at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, from October 7th to October 12th 2025. Nikoqir of this international convention was “Teton County Search and Rescue”.
“This achievement is the result of ShAKA's long-term work and dedication, marking an important step towards strengthening international co-operation and establishing mountain security standards in the Republic of Kosovo. This reflects professional rescue activity, as well as the contribution of headship to further strengthening and development of organisational structure, both at the local and international level”, the ShKKMK said.
The ICAR is the world organisation that brings together the most advanced mountain rescue search teams and states. Since its founding in 1948, I CAR works to boost security, training and international co-operation in mountain operations. /Periscopi/
