Former head of Albania's State Intelligence Service Fatos Klosi has commented on the protest held in Tirana in support of Kosovo Liberation Army leaders, who are facing court trials at the Special Court in The Hague. In a statement to Indexline, Klos praised the mass support of Albanian citizens as positive and significant, stressing that this is clear evidence that the people do not view these men as guilty, but as heroes of the nation.
Of course, it is a page of the will of the Albanians, of the Albanian nation, which these people consider innocent and view as heroes. With this, it shows that whatever decision the court makes, the Albanian people have given their opinion. The court has its job and that means I can be affected. But it's very important that the people tell the whole world that these people are heroes,”, Klosi said.
He named the Special Court an absurdity in itself, adding that even the final verdict by that court can be just as absurd.
So far, this court has been absurd to me, so even the decision can be absurd to me. Albanians appreciate those people. They are part of the history and freedom of Kosovo,” concluded Klosi. /Periscopi
